Industrial Epoxy Flooring in Liverpool & the North West

Commercial and industrial epoxy resin flooring for factories, warehouses, workshops and commercial premises across Liverpool and the North West.

Commercial & Industrial Epoxy Resin Flooring

Commercial Coatings NW installs epoxy resin flooring for commercial and industrial environments including factories, warehouses, workshops and commercial units. The appropriate system depends on the existing substrate, contamination, moisture conditions, expected traffic, operational environment and required finish.

Floor preparation before epoxy installation

Preparation is a key part of a resin flooring project. Depending on the condition of the floor, work can include diamond grinding, shot blasting, screeding and levelling and epoxy DPM systems before the specified coating is installed.

Epoxy flooring for demanding commercial spaces

Epoxy systems can provide a hard-wearing, seamless surface for areas where durability, cleanability and a professional finish are important. We can discuss the intended use of the floor and the site conditions before recommending the preparation and coating process for the project.

PROJECT QUESTIONS

Before an epoxy floor is specified.

Will epoxy go straight over the existing concrete?

The surface needs assessing first. Old coatings, contamination, laitance, damage and moisture can affect preparation and the system selected. Depending on the floor, we may use diamond grinding, shot blasting, repairs or an epoxy DPM.

Which finish suits a workshop or warehouse?

Traffic, cleaning, chemical exposure, slip requirements and the condition of the substrate all matter. A site review helps select the system and finish rather than assuming one coating suits every building.

How long before the floor can be used?

That depends on the specified product, temperature, number of coats and the type of traffic. We agree the installation and return-to-service programme around your site requirements.

Industrial epoxy flooring

Choosing an epoxy floor for your working environment

Factories, warehouses and manufacturing facilities need floors that suit the way they operate. A clean storage area has different demands from a busy loading bay or a production space exposed to spills. We discuss your traffic, cleaning routine and shutdown window before agreeing the flooring scope.

Heavy-duty use and vehicle traffic

Forklifts, pallet trucks and repeated turning can put extra wear on particular areas. A heavy-duty finish should be selected around those demands, the condition of the concrete and the proposed system build-up. We also consider pedestrian routes, loading points and any bay markings. Explore our warehouse resin flooring or factory flooring service for these environments.

Chemical resistance depends on the specified system

No epoxy floor should be assumed resistant to every chemical. Tell us which oils, fuels, cleaners or process chemicals may reach the floor. Concentration, temperature and contact time matter. The proposed product's chemical resistance data should be checked against that exposure before installation. Where another system is more suitable, we can discuss the alternatives.

Balance slip resistance with cleaning

A textured surface may help where spills are expected, but the finish also needs a workable cleaning routine. Agree the likely contaminants, cleaning equipment and required texture before choosing the system. High-performance flooring depends on suitable preparation, a suitable specification and ongoing care.

Prepare the concrete before coating

Weak material, old coatings and contamination can affect adhesion. The floor may need diamond grinding, shot blasting, local repairs or levelling before resin is applied. Moisture conditions also need assessing; an epoxy DPM may be part of the specified build-up where appropriate.

Installation and return to service

Available access, temperature and the chosen product influence the programme. Walking on the floor and returning it to full vehicle traffic may require different curing periods. We discuss these stages with your site team. For a short shutdown, MMA flooring may be worth considering, subject to the site and specification.

What to include in an epoxy flooring enquiry

Send the approximate area in square metres, postcode, photographs and target dates. Include details of existing coatings, vehicle traffic, chemical exposure and any known moisture issues. This helps us identify what needs checking at a site survey and prepare a clear quotation.

Budget planning

How much do epoxy floor coatings cost?

£25–£60 per m²

Indicative installed coating cost over a sound, prepared substrate.

Preparation and specification may change the price. Final costs depend on site condition, floor area, required system and thickness, access and programme. Grinding, coating removal, repairs, contamination treatment, DPM and levelling may add to the cost. Small areas may attract a minimum job charge.

Planning your project: four useful questions

What affects the cost of epoxy flooring?

Floor area, existing condition, specification, access and programme affect pricing. See the budget guide on this page for the indicative range and exclusions. The written quotation confirms scope and applicable VAT.

What preparation does the floor need?

Concrete condition, existing coatings, traffic and any moisture or contamination concerns determine preparation. Grinding or shot blasting and local repairs may be included.

How long before the area can be used again?

The selected product, temperature, thickness and intended use determine curing and return-to-service. Foot traffic, vehicle traffic and installation of the next covering may require different allowances; these are agreed for the project.

Is this service suitable for my premises?

Epoxy coatings can suit warehouses and workshops where the complete system matches traffic, exposure and cleaning needs.
