Garage & Workshop Flooring
From mechanical preparation to coated workshop floors and marked working bays, we provide flooring solutions for commercial garages and workshop environments.
Flooring built around the site
Tell us how the building is used, which areas are worn and how long it can be out of service. We can discuss preparation, resin finishes and marked working bays as one project scope.
Services available
Surface preparation, diamond grinding, shot blasting, screeding and levelling, epoxy DPM, epoxy/resin flooring and MMA flooring can be combined according to the project.

Plan the floor around the work.
Can you coat an old garage floor?
Often, but the existing surface must be checked for loose coatings, oil contamination, damage and moisture. Mechanical preparation is usually part of the work; the system follows the condition and use of the floor.
Can working bays be marked out?
Yes. Coloured bay markings and working zones can be included in the project scope. For a finished coating example, see our Liverpool garage project. Bay markings are planned separately to suit the working layout.
What details help with a quote?
Send the location, approximate m², existing floor condition, intended use and photographs. Tell us about any lifts, vehicle traffic, cleaning chemicals and the time the area can be out of use.

Choosing a floor for a working garage or workshop
A workshop floor needs to suit the work carried out on it. Vehicle movements, turning tyres and trolley jacks put different demands on the finish. Wheeled benches and regular cleaning also need consideration. Wet entrances and areas exposed to oil or other fluids also need consideration when agreeing the surface texture and cleaning routine.
Epoxy resin, flake or another specified system?
Epoxy resin flooring can provide a continuous finish for many workshop environments. Resin flake systems offer a decorative option, while PU screed or MMA flooring may be considered where the operating conditions or installation programme call for a different specification. Suitability must be checked for the actual substrate, exposure and required return to service.
Preparing the existing concrete
Existing coatings and contamination need assessment before a new finish is applied. Diamond grinding or shot blasting may be required to remove unsuitable material and create the specified surface profile. Oil within the concrete, weak material, moisture and moving joints may need further investigation. The quotation should explain how these conditions will be addressed.
Access, working bays and reopening
Tell us whether lifts, benches and machinery will remain in place and how vehicles enter the building. We can discuss working bays, pedestrian routes, phased access and interfaces with adjacent floors. The selected product and site conditions determine curing requirements; permission for foot traffic does not automatically mean the floor is ready for vehicles or chemical exposure.
