Choosing an industrial floor starts with the work it needs to support. A production unit, a loading bay and a vehicle workshop can need different flooring solutions. Tell us about vehicle movements, foot traffic, spills and cleaning so we can assess the preparation and finish together.
Match the floor coating to daily use
Epoxy flooring includes different coatings and system build-ups. The choice depends on concrete condition, traffic and the working environment. Busy turning points may need a different specification from lightly used storage areas. We also discuss surface texture, pedestrian routes and how the floor will be cleaned.
Our industrial epoxy flooring service explains system selection. For storage and distribution buildings, see our warehouse flooring service. Where shutdown time is restricted, MMA flooring may be an option to assess rather than assuming one resin suits every programme.
Check the existing floor before installation
Old coatings, contamination, weak concrete and moisture can affect a new finish. A survey helps establish the required surface preparation. This may include diamond grinding, shot blasting, local repairs or levelling. Any moisture-control layer should be compatible with the specified resin system.

Our Manchester industrial flooring case study shows existing photographs of preparation, repairs, coating application and the finished grey floor. The project provides an example of the work; your own building needs a separate assessment and agreed scope.
Plan access and reopening
Let us know whether the building can be cleared or needs to stay partly operational. Agree stock movements, safe work areas and access with the site team before installation. Temperature, product choice and curing requirements affect when foot traffic and vehicle traffic can return. Those stages should follow the agreed specification and manufacturer's guidance.
Request an epoxy flooring quotation
When choosing a flooring contractor, compare what each proposal includes: removal of existing finishes, preparation, repairs, resin build-up and any line marking. A clear scope helps you compare prices for the same work.
Send your Manchester project details, including the postcode, approximate area in square metres, photographs and target dates. Plans, specifications and details of traffic or chemical exposure help us identify what needs checking at a site survey.
